Service
GIS Data Collection
We collect accurate, structured spatial data in the field using GPS units, mobile mapping apps and custom data-capture forms, then process it into clean, ready-to-use GIS layers.

Good GIS starts with good data. Our field teams capture point, line and polygon data using GPS hardware, mobile GIS applications and, where useful, aerial photography — with data schemas designed around how you'll actually use the information afterwards, not just how it's easiest to collect.
We build custom digital data-capture forms so field staff record consistent, structured attributes every time, reducing the cleanup work that usually follows a manual or paper-based survey. Captured data is validated, corrected and delivered in the format your systems already use.
Typical deliverables
- Cleaned point/line/polygon datasets (Shapefile, GeoPackage, GeoJSON or your preferred format)
- Custom mobile data-capture forms for field teams
- Attribute schemas aligned to your existing systems
- Metadata documenting collection method, accuracy and date
FAQs
What equipment do you use for GIS data collection?
Depending on the accuracy required, we use handheld and survey-grade GPS units, mobile GIS data-capture apps, and aerial platforms including drones. We match the method to the project's accuracy and budget requirements.
Can you integrate collected data into our existing GIS or asset system?
Yes. We deliver data in the format and schema your existing systems require, and can handle the integration directly — see our Systems Integration service.
